![]() We have the same problem the original poster has, allot of time was wasted checking/reconfiguring the network infrastructure. ![]() It's a shame as so many senior managers, department heads and directors love purchasing Apple products as they work well for them at home so they bring them into a work environment thinking it will be dead easy to integrate. To which I explained there weren't any Apple built software tools that made it easy to integrate Apples into Windows domains, all software tools were being built by third parties, to which he said exactly!Ī guess that that partly explains why the Apple management tools are so bad and were non existent for some time once they started making mobile devices as well. Interesting what you say about it promoting buying Apple file servers, when I spoke with an Apple engineer on why they were discontinuing Xserve's or Mac Pro's that could be used as large storage servers, he said that they figured companies don't want to buy Apple servers to be able to support Apple devices, instead they will want them to integrate with their existing servers which may all be Windows based. We believe Apple is avoiding fixing it because it promotes buying Apple file servers which provide the meta data and don't have the delay. To the best of my knowledge, 10.10 does not fix it. ![]() If you have a 10.3 machine it should be fine. It does not happen with all of my Macs.īug was introduced in Mac OSX 10.4. I have experienced this, but not found a solution.
